Why have you chosen to sell your birthright for a moment of pleasure (temporary relief)?. No human being is perfect though, and as a matter of fact, we all are bound to make one mistake or the other at a point in time of our life. I want you to understand that the beauty of being a role model/mentor/parent/leader/ et al; is not because you are expected to be a 'perfect human being' devoid of flaws. It is true that most people don't turn away from their reckless and irresponsible way of life until they experience a life-changing event — something that moves them, shakes them up, and changes their perspective.Step up and choose the path of light. Accept responsibility, acknowledge and face your mistakes. Everyday is an opportunity to have a fresh start. It takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort to be able to think first and act afterward (mastery of one's thoughts). Obviously, if we are able to think first before we do anything, we will tend to be more careful, hence avoiding undue consequences for the actions we take most times. Never give a cheap blackmailer, a sadist, a bully, or an oppressor who knows your little dark secret, the opportunity to capitalize on your past and ruin your life permanently. Regain your self esteem, your power and your identity as quickly as you can, else you remain dejected or ashamed for the rest of your life. it is a natural thing to make mistakes but it is very wrong not to forgive oneself or pay by feeling guilty all the days of one's life. You may not be able to undo your past but you can live a better tomorrow. There are real limits in most people’s lives and personal development isn't magic that can fix just about anything quickly and easily. But you can do what you can with what you have where you are right now. Start there. Make a small change if that is what is possible. From that small change and success you will gain confidence and you can build upon that to make more and perhaps even bigger changes. This you can do by coming clean, standing on top of your mistakes, while transforming your experiences into lessons capable of healing, encouraging and uplifting other people going through similar situation. Never give up your power to no one because you want to cover up your shame. It's better to open up and walk a free man than remain in a self afflicted confinement. Anyone who confines your free will is an ENEMY. Beware, of the association you keep. I want you to know that you are not a failure or a mistake even if you have failed in some areas of your life. Forgive yourself and move on. Step out, walk tall and never accept anyone's definition of your life.
