We Can Sign 20 Artistes To Five Star Music If We Want – KCEE

Five Star General KCEE has been having back and forth altercation and legal battle with former label mate over his controversial exit from the label.

The Limpopo crooner whose real name is Kingsley Okonkwo reminisced the aftermath of Harrysong's exit what plans to do with its artiste Skiibii.

“I sat down and thought about it. I said to myself that humans are different so you cannot judge everyone by somebody’s wrongdoing. I think everyone deserves a chance; everyone deserves an opportunity. But it has to be clear when I do this with other people. I often advise record label owners to tell artistes to bring their lawyers before signing any deal. The up and coming artistes are usually desperate and hungry to get to the next level, but once they get there, they feel you are no longer important.”

KCEE spoke in all honesty as to why nothing mega has been heard from Skiibii besides his failed 'death' publicity stunt.

“Skiibii is talented and he has a lot of songs as I speak to you. But after the label concluded with my projects, Harrysong came next. Skiibii is supposed to be the next artiste on our list after Harrysong, but you need money and you need to pay attention to the brand also. I think those little factors affected him one way or the other. We still believe in him and plan to support him except if anything happens otherwise.”

The singer also said his record label has the capacity to recruit up to 20 artistes to Five Star Music, however, the label is more interested in churning out quality. When it's ready to sign more artistes that will be done.

“We have the capacity to sign 20 artistes if we want to, but we have our own style that we follow. We take our time before we sign on artistes and we go for people who have raw talent. Right now, we are just trying to put things together. When we are ready to sign artistes, we will make it open to everyone.”
