Patience or forbearing is a state of endurance under difficult circumstance, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/ anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is a rare and wonderful virtue. It is one character trait necessary to deal and manage a whole lot of 's , demands and undertakings. It is a character worth imbibing, though age and experience, help in cultivating it faster. This virtue can also be cultivated and nurtured over time. I have not said it's an easy virtue to uphold, I'm also suffering from not having enough of it too but you can train your mind through constant discipline, you will pleasantly be surprised by how relaxation and peace of mind can impact the quality of your life. We need a lot of self control and discipline to actualize this virtue. it can be refereed to as 'the character trait of being steadfast'. It is probably harder now than at any time in history to maintain our cool and be patient. In a world where messages and information can be sent across the world instantly, without you having the opportunity to defend yourself, if the need be. Everything is available with only a few clicks of the mouse or push of a telephone button. Figuring out what makes you impatient, which events, people, phrases or circumstances, would help you put your attitude into check and curtail your anger. There's practically nothing worth jumping out of your skin for. If you make it a daily practice to observe things and event without judging or forming an opinion, being able to acknowledge something without allowing it to annoy you will make become easier with time. Being patient with yourself is maturity and being patient with others is a form of respect for them. Nobody is perfect, and if you want to be a good parent, boss, spouse or friend, its important to recognize this and be patient with people. I have noticed a lot of impatience and intolerance especially on social network and it just makes me wonder, how we have suddenly become so detached from the real essence of living which is - (LOVE), and have focused so much in negativity and mundane lifestyle, hence causing ourselves lots of hardship and miseries. .....................................................................................................Voice of Yemi Michael.
