Since some of you really want to drag me into this Linda Ikeji's mess, here's my personal opinion: any modern day human being who takes joy in campaigning against gay, lesbians and transgendered persons in order to get famous, will always end up in Karma's ditch hole. Gossip is a genre of media but making lives miserable for others through targeted hate post is inexcusable. The least she can do is use her platform to educate the misinformed public about their plights.
Majority of Nigerians are still very ignorant about sexual orientations and sexual identities. And that's alright. We all are ignorant about lots of things. However, a blogger who has access to research should not be championing hate campaigns. For instance, this year, she profiled a transgendered friend who left Nigeria because of numerous attacks and threats. The queen of gossip didn't stop at that. She also published her pictures and her address in Canada without her permission. While this poor lady was battling with hates and threats, our beloved Linda was smiling to the bank. I don't care who you are, I will never be a fan of anyone who openly spews hates against people on account of gender, race, status and sexual orientation. I do wish her a good come-back but I advise her to add some class to her crass.
