This week I heard a testimony of a lady who was engaged to be married three times, and all in the course of three years. According to her, as the wedding
day approaches, the groom-to-be breaks the engagement for no reason at all, and walks away. This became an issue of concern. In 2010, 2011, and 2012, all three engagements were broken, and she was devastated. Her wedding dress was having an anniversary every year in her box or closet, but the bride was not even close to wearing the wedding dress.
Then this lady went to God for a change of status, and attended a yearly "God Ordained Summit," held by Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, named, "Shiloh
." During Shiloh 2013, she wrote in her diary the date she desires to be married and took her petition to God. Then God spoke to her to give Him her rent money for that month as her "Shiloh Sacrifice." At first, she was alarmed and didn't want to do it, then God told her, whenever she pays her rent, she is assured of a key to an apartment, but if she gives Him the rent money, He would take her to her husband's house. So she obeyed God and gave her sacrificial offering. On the set date she'd written to be married, sometime in March 2014, nothing happened, but her faith wavered not. The devil started mocking her faith, and spoke subtly to her mind, that her dress is sure having an anniversary that she wasn't having. She laughed at the devil and opened her mouth boldly to declare to the devil that God can never fail. She intensified her belief in God, and Low and behold, in the month of August, this year, she got married.
This may be a word for someone out there; When the devil speaks defeat, you must always open your mouth to speak victory. Sometimes a word may mean something to someone, but means much more to another, this is why it is important we encourage one another. I recall sharing something on Facebook
sometime ago, and I was just being led to share it, but got a reply from a man who said he'd toiled all night seeking God for a confirmation to something important, and when he woke up and saw my post on my page, he broke down and started crying because that was the answer he'd been waiting for. I said that to say, let no one despise words of encouragement, because someone's life may depend solely on it.
Beginning of the year, someone may have written on his/her secret journal that they desire marriage this year, and it looks like the year is winding down faster than imagined, but do not loose hope, or put on a frown or put on a downcast look, but look back from January till date, and write down things God has done in the course of the year. It could be promotion at work, sound health (not being hospitalized or involved in a car accident or in a plane crash), not losing a family member, etc. Focus on those things He has done, and God will fulfill that which is left.
Nothing is impossible with God, so stay thankfully focused on those things He has done, and keep doing, and He will hasten to finish that which He's started, and completes all that concerns you. When you pray concerning a thing, an angel is sent to fulfill it, but when you praise God, God Himself comes down to fulfill that which concerns you, and in a greater measure. Praise is the key to the supernatural, so always engage in it. It is not over yet, so never put a full stop where God has placed a semicolon. Always remember, God is not a joker; He means what He says, and He says what He means.
